…but there is no goose to get fat. Still, we spent the weekend getting the flat ready for the festive season. The fireplace garland was hung, and the light sticks were planted in their glass vase to sit on the hearth, ready for their three weeks or so of glory.
This year, we even made our own Christmas cards. Sticky trumpeting and flying angels, and reindeer resembling moose were popped onto our A5-sized hobby shop-bought white card. We had time to watch ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, too, as I had never seen it.
With my present shopping well underway, family plans firmed up at last, and this week being my last working one in 2007, it looks like this year could be one of the most relaxing Christmases for quite some time.
