When I was a kid, and living on the coast at Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth seemed such a great place to go for a Sunday afternoon. Full of seaside shops crammed to the rafters with tacky tourist nick-nacks, junk food stalls, and bay-window fronted guest houses, there was much to keep the young mind occupied.
It even had two waxwork museums, and it was at The Hop Farm on Sunday afternoon that I was transported back to my childhood. A new attraction has opened at the popular former Kent ousthouses; the ‘Legends of Wax’. And legendary it certainly is, but, for all the wrong reasons.
I thought the collection of wax dummies were the set from the worst of the two Yarmouth collections, but a spot of web surfing led me to believe that perhaps, they weren’t, and that going by these, they weren’t half as bad as I thought they were.
Okay, Christopher Reeve looks a bit like Prince Charles, Tom Cruise has a touch of the John Barrowmans about him, and Cliff Richard seemed to wearing a set of comedy Vicar’s teeth. Kylie and Jason weren’t good, with Jason looking like a young Charlton Heston, and Kylie looking, well not very much like Kylie at all.

Although, of you scroll down this page, they’re much better than the seemingly elderly couple posing as the 80s popstars… Shockingly bad, but worth a visit all the same.
