‘An overload in a disco fantasy,’ sings fin-haired Zoli �dok from Hungary in his song Dance With Me. Yes, we’re back to the fun stuff, and the entry from Budapest is certainly that. Like Andrea Demorivic’s entry, �dok’s song is bubbly, danceable pop, and typical of the commercial-sounding entries which now make up modern-day Eurovision.
But, just as Demorivic’s video for Just Get Out of My Life showcases the song to its best, �dok’s camp-tastic video is equally part of the package, and won’t be replicated come semi-final night tomorrow. From what we’ve seen, he’ll have three dancers at best, but we still think the routine and Alcazar-sounding song (with elements of Modjo) will undoubtedly wow the Moscow crowds. And although �dok can certainly move, will he have the judges dancing to his tune?
